Italian marble with ivory clasts floating in a grey-brown backdrop known as Arabescato Corchia is a severely brecciated, polished stone. Breccias are a type of sedimentary rock that develops spontaneously when pre-existing rocks or minerals fracture and reform, cementing together to produce a totally new substance. breathtakingly beautiful!

Calacatta Corchia combines contemporary versatility with Italian grace. Ideal for flooring, walls, kitchens, bathrooms, and style points. One of the most traditional and ancient Arabescato type marbles, this classic white Italian marble comes from the southern Carrara region of Italy. It has elliptical boulder-shaped veins in shades of grey or blueish grey on a cream to white background. The white centers of Arabescato eggs are sometimes referred to be yellow, but the best blocks have very little yellow in them. In a mountain directly above the village of Levigliani, the quarry is located. Due of its high mountain location and similarity to the less productive Cervaiole Quarry, production is restricted during the winter. One of the most popular varieties of Arabescato, Corchia (pronounced Corkia), is available in a variety of flavors.
